the homeless, these people need you!

23rd may 2014
it was my dream came true..
at last, i was able to meet the homeless.. Alhamdulillah,..segala puji hanya bagiNya..

KL..
shopping center, lotsa buildings, plenty of foods, and so many traffic..
but we did not see the other side of it..
dark, sad, and poor....

there were four of us; me, ann, baiti and aini, joining the PERTIWI organization to distribute foods to the homeless around the KL area. you guys can follow this link http://pertiwi.org.my/  and see what they have been up to for the homeless people. they gonna distributing the food for four days in a week; sunday, monday, wednesday, and friday at the same spot of distributions. the homeless will came in and queue up to get their stuff. despite of being 'lost' in the KL jungle for two hours, Alhamdulillah, we manage to meet the PERTIWI team at the Tune Hotel KL and follow them throughout the process.

the PERTIWI van for food stuffs

one of the staffs explained that at some point, there will be around 300++ of homeless lining to get their food at one spot. a lot of mouth to be fed, me - sad =( ...

the above pictures was taken at the TUNE Hotel KL, we arrived kinda late because of 'sesat tahap dahsyat', Thank God we made it too, then we followed them to the area of Central Market, the next pit stop. we were given the chance to help the team preparing  food for the homeless,..
all of us had to set up properly, because sometimes these people can be quite aggressive, yet, because they were all hungry =(.. Alhamdulillah, things went smoothly,.. i can see many faces in the line...

me , giving them syrup (cold drink)

most of them were men, some were just too old, some were sick, also got psychopath, also got the immigrants and women in line .. we've been told that some of them were just the local people who afford to buy food for themselves, but they just lined up as the food were free. For me, this kind of people were just too desperate to get food, yet, living in the big city was never that easy.

the best part was, when they looked into my eyes and said
'terima kasih'
deep in my heart, :').. i'm happy to help you
too sincere..

they

need

food

some were just annoying, cause too picky of what had given to them
'erm, takde coffeemix ke?'

they were too human,
they have the right to choose
its just they don't have the chance to do so

us

there were also got volunteers-first timer like us ;)..it was nice, sharing thoughts and experiences together with them =)

the doctors with one of the homeless patients.

i had to take the picture 'sorok2' cause want to respect them, maybe they don't like to be pictured. Since the food already finished, we couldn't get to the next pit stop. so we had decided to go back to UPM.

along the way back, many things get into our mind. everyone should see these people. everyone should take action. first thing in my mind, how was their spiritual condition? do they pray like us? do they take shower? how they sleep? -sad =(.. couldn't do anything much.

syukur
walaupun kita meminjam
walaupun hanya menyewa
walaupun hanya menumpang
masih kita punya tempat berteduh, perut berisi, sejadah untuk sujud

terima kasih :')

p/s: youngsters, please, go and meet these people...
terima kasih RG, kasi pinjam mobil anda ^^

Eventhough it is far from the city, but hey, the facilities is top notch! But to remind all of you, there will be no internet connection, yet wifi services is provided. However, the access is limited to only three devices. Let me share with you guys on our 3 days 2 nights experience stay here in Boulder Valley. We were sent via buggy to our room. The road was inclined and hilly. It is better to use the buggy since we have an infant. Plus, our baggage were a lot! Buggy really helped us. This is our room, Tented Villa. We have a verandah and located just in front of a swimming pool. Their minibar was almost complete and functional too. Im not using the microwave because concer

Reading Corner: THE CAREER CODE

Finally, I've finished reading one of the book I've bought on my 30th birthday - THE CAREER CODE-. This book was written by Hillary Kerr & Katherine Power - the creators of WhoWhatWear.com.  The Career Code had explain so many tips and tricks, reality that actually happened especially in the corporate world. Something that won't be talked in your daily life with your colleagues but it is crucial! I have immersed in every bits of their writing and imagining myself in all of the situation explained. You may look at the content list through the photo below;  I know, the font were so smol, Let me help to list down all of the topics discussed in the book: 1. Find something you love to do, and then figure out a way to get paid for it 2. Your resume speaks before you do, so make sure it's articulate 3. Interview like a boss 4. Social media should help you, not hurt you 5. Dress for the job you want, not the job you have  6. When in Doubt, err on the side of formality and
