The Career Code had explain so many tips and tricks, reality that actually happened especially in the corporate world. Something that won't be talked in your daily life with your colleagues but it is crucial! I have immersed in every bits of their writing and imagining myself in all of the situation explained. You may look at the content list through the photo below;

The career code
I know, the font were so smol,

Let me help to list down all of the topics discussed in the book:

1. Find something you love to do, and then figure out a way to get paid for it
2. Your resume speaks before you do, so make sure it's articulate
3. Interview like a boss
4. Social media should help you, not hurt you
5. Dress for the job you want, not the job you have
6. When in Doubt, err on the side of formality and professionalism
7. The most proactive people win
8. Resourcefulness is next to godliness
9. Avoid death by (mis)communication

10. Never present a problem without a solution

11. It's who you know that gets you there, and what you know that keeps you there
12. Quantify your worth
13. Hire well, delegates better

14. Have specific, clearly defined goals and write them down
15. Manage you stress like its your job
16. "That not my job"
17. Your last Impression is the only one that counts

together with a BONUS:
27 life hacks to make you more efficient, effective and happier (Your life less stressful!)

Here are the snippets of the book;

My POV (point of view): content-wise: highly recommended to all novice executive who just make a leap into the corporate world. Yet, the content were also relevant to all walk of life since so many take away related to our daily life. Besides, this book is also suitable to all manager-wannabe as it gives solutions and tips from the bosses eye= what should be done, and why things happen that way.

Presentation-wise: The material is very good, glossy paper at very good price - bought  at BookXcess  and certainly best for your money! The vibrant and fancy color throughout the book showing the personality of the writer and the vibe that they wanted to highlight- enthusiasm- I loved it! However, the font size quite irritating- so smol as I have to reread a sentence for few times to catch what the writer is writing.

I will always revisit this book later on if for any situation to handle in the future. That is all from me, hope it benefited to all readers. Thank you!

xoxo,
Iba

Book Review : Marie Kondo - The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying

I just got the time to write after so long. Yet, I need to find time to write rather than to wait for the time to arrive. Anyways, I would like to share the third book of September (it's nearly mid-October sistah!) It was the utmost Marie Kondo Book - The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying .  For some people, even me myself never thought that tidying activity could even make a book! Obviously, Marie Kondo proves that tidying is a world's problem. Her love for tidiness and cleanliness had made a huge business run, especially in Japan. There are few take away from my reading, Start by discarding your items  Discard all of the unnecessary items in your closet, cabinet, or wherever you keep your stuff. Don't let the habit of hoarding things to be your belongings. You need to learn to let go of the past and ready for the future.  Keep your items accordingly Arrange your items following their type. For example, in a wardrobe, keep your t-shirt in the same area and not mix around wi...

New Year 2022 Trip- Perlis

 Dear lovely readers, It has been quite some time that I haven't write a thing in this space. Somewhat a 'hidden' gem. Anyways, I wanted to share on my recent visit to Perlis. Hopefully, this can help those who planned to have a nice weekend later on.  Alhamdulillah, me and my husband decided to make a trip to the smallest state in Malaysia celebrating the New Year 2022. Since the border is still open for the time being, it is certainly the best opportunity to grab before it closes back due to pandemic.  Why Perlis tho?  Perlis has been underrated for the past few years, as people might think that there's not much of fun things to explore there. Anyways, this state has grew a lot these recent years with so many attractions despite of the current pandemic. Okay, let's straight to what we have done in this Indera Kayangan state.  So we started our journey on Saturday, 1st January 2022 from Sungai Petani, Kedah. We chose Padang Besar as our first pit stop of the da...

Why I love to hike

Why I love to hike? It is a kind of… I-don’t-know-how-to-answer question. Mom asked me previously, “ape yang seronok sangat panjat bukit ni semua? Tak penat ke?” Okay, hmmm… she gave me a spark of bursting questions to myself, why ah? Why? Oh why? Ive started joining to this activity after facing so-called heartbreaking moment in my love life, hey, thanks cause made me enjoying hiking until today. It was a kind of releasing activity which always hit the adrenaline rush button, yes, every time and it was full of satisfaction. Hiking? Indeed a very tiring activity, but it is very good in boosting self-motivation and building characters. You see, the hills, the mountains, you need to make steps in order to reach the top, thus, all the way to the summit, there are challenges rumbling onto you. Exciting at the starting point and cannot wait to reach the top, however, full of regrets during ascending the hills, you gonna hear villains wailing in your ears  ’why im doing all th...
